Grace Health Primary Care is currently closed to new patients. Dr. Norman recommends the following physician practices which (at the time of this update) are accepting new patients:
“Do you take insurance?”
Grace Health is a Direct Primary Care office. This means that, rather than charging per visit, we charge a low and affordable monthly fee. This fee includes all your visits at no additional charge, and you can call, text, or email Dr. Norman directly. No middle-men.
As of 2023, we will be participating with Taro Health, a new insurance company available on the ACA Marketplace starting November 2022. Taro Health recognizes the value of Direct Primary Care and is covering monthly membership fees for its members at no additional charge.
“Can you still order labs and referrals if I have insurance”
Yes! As of 2018, all Maine-based insurance plans must honor referrals, labs, and imaging orders made by Direct Primary Care doctors the same as if they came from in-network doctors.
“Can you just see me for one visit?”
Dr. Norman believes in primary care as an ongoing relationship. If you’re looking for a one-time visit, or to join a large box clinic where you see a different provider each time, you may be looking for a different primary care office. However, if you are looking to make a real connection with a doctor who takes the time to get to know you, then you’ve come to the right place!
